FOR MAXIMUM WEAR AND LUBRICITY
Gullon combines our Armoloy TDC® with one of a variety of solid-film coatings designed for your application to produce an inherently lubricated wear surface. Depending on your needs, your top coat choices can range from a Molybdenum Disulfide to any number of PTFE or Teflon-type products best suited for your application. Gullon covers your part with nodular, microscopic spheres of our 78 Rc Armoloy TDC® and then thermosets a lubricating and corrosion-inhibiting top coating. The solid-film coating keeps the surface extremely slick with a coefficient of friction of 0.02 to 0.10 which creates an ideal wear interface. Used in non-lubricated wear application or in applications in which wear components cannot be serviced or replaced for long periods of use, Gullon has proven to be an exceptional product.
Hardness – The polymer topcoat is quite soft and typically wipes soon after actuation or initiation of service of the process part leaving the 78Rc nodular wear surface with trapped lubricant to act as the wear interface.
Surface Finish – The appearance of the processed part will be that of a smooth, coated part and can be provided in several colors with black and blue the most common choice. Once placed in service, and the top coat has been wiped, the surface retains the solid film particles even though the Armoloy wear surface is visible.
Density – The dense nature of the Armoloy TDC® coating means high corrosion resistance as the coating is almost free of micro-cracks (conventional chrome +/- 40 micro-cracks per cm2)
Absolute adhesion – The Armoloy TDC® coating will not chip, flake, crack, peel or separate from the base metal under standard ASTM bend tests or under conditions of extreme heat or cold.
Gullon, with its dry-film lubricant can solve numerous problems, including friction/wear, corrosion, temperature extremes, sticking, vibration, galvanic activity, electrical insulation and conductivity.
No requirement for post finishing (except special applications).
Gullon is very slippery, very hard and resistant to most industrial corrosive environments.
